This was classified as an emergency security update upstream. We recommend updating to Samba-4.10.4 or later as soon as possible, since this affects authentication response and file services from versions 4.0.2 onwards. This version should be drop-in compatible with versions 4.8.x and later.
At minimum, this will affect the 'Standard File / Print Server' configuration that we have listed in the book - but even if you only use the Client services (or GVFS), you should apply this update.

gst-plugins-good: Remove the libtool caution, we're using meson/ninja now so it no longer applies
gst-plugins-*: Convert the 'dependency for a given plugin needs to be installed first' into an XInclude
gst-*: With the move to Meson, the developers put in a sanity check to ensure that there is an ObjC compiler on the system. This was originally intended for macOS, and the build continues normally without it. I've added an XInclude containing a note to all pages affected to document this, since it describes itself as a 'fatal error'

With ALSA 1.1.9, it became fatal to include headers from /usr/include rather than /usr/include/alsa, and the headers in /usr/include added a warning regarding this. Pulseaudio also doesn't use pkg-config for a large majority of it's headers (reported upstream), so a modification had to be done to account for that as well.

GLEW (glew) is no-longer referenced by the configure script.
The link to glm (GLM) was to an old version, and without it an old version

Now using a release build.
Drivers are limited to those which can be built on linux in the X86 architecture,
but all available drivers, even for old radeon versions, are again listed.
Note that tests now exist, and also that reducing the number of drivers will not save much time or space.
