Installation of kdemultimedia
Install kdemultimedia with:
./configure --prefix=&kde-dir; --disable-debug \
--disable-dependency-tracking &&
sed -i -e 's/-ansi//' kscd/libwm/Makefile &&
make &&
make install
Command explanations
sed -i -e 's/-ansi//' kscd/libwm/Makefile :
Remove -ansi from gcc parameters to work around
a broken header in the kernel.
Configuring kdemultimedia
There is no explicit configuration for the kdemultimedia package,
however kscd needs to find the CD drive. The default
is /dev/cdrom which may not exist on your system. The
easiest way to do this is to create a symbolic link to this from your CD
drive (e.g. /dev/hdc, /dev/scd0,
etc):
cd /dev &&
ln -s [CD Drive] /dev/cdrom
