Install <application>xine Libraries</application> by running the following
commands:

switch causes the documentation to be installed into a versioned
directory instead of the default
<filename class="directory">/usr/share/doc/xine-lib</filename>.

<option>--with-external-dvdnav</option>: If you have installed
<xref linkend="libdvdnav"/> use this option to make
<application>Xine-lib</application> link its
<filename class="libraryfile">xineplug_decode_dxr3_spu.so</filename>,
<filename class="libraryfile">xineplug_decode_spu.so</filename> and
<filename class="libraryfile">xineplug_inp_dvd.so</filename> plugins to
<application>Libdvdnav</application>.
