I've also omitted xfce4-power-manager - works ok for me, but it
might be implicated in the intel backlight issue so I'm leaving it.

b481603cd5 yasm: Run the tests at -j1 to fix problems with intermittent test 
failures.

The tests always pass if run at -j1, but if they are run in parallel,
the rawpp_test.sh and nasmpp_test.sh tests will fail intermittently.

This is a after-tag change but I suppose it's OK.  I don't think
anything will ever invoke a rustc utility with ".old" name.

7e52a4ad2c rustc: Document a test that is known to hang on some systems when 
scripting.

If combine_install_with_separate_uninstall hangs, a user can press the
Enter key, or remove the test with a sed.

f0206fc972 OpenJDK Configuration: Disable the creation of 
/tmp/hsperfdata_[username].

This feature generates performance monitoring and profiling information,
and isn't generally used on a BLFS system.

efi/grub-setup: Another update attempt 
1. Move kernel section before emergency boot disk section.  The reason
   is in the emergency boot disk section we already need to mount the
   ESP, so we need VFAT and the related NLS configuration.
2. Add "codepage=437,iocharset=iso8859-1" mounting the ESP.  I'm not
   sure if grub-install will do things properly if a different NLS
   setting is used.  With some (broken IMO) kernel configuration a mount
   command without explicit codepage and iocharset setting won't work at
   all.  And I don't like the idea to force the users to set
   FAT_DEFAULT_CODEPAGE=437 or FAT_DEFAULT_IOCHARSET="iso8859-1" in
   kernel configuration.
3. Use "mount --mkdir" instead of a separate "mkdir -pv" command
   (again).
4. Wrap long commands at 80 characters.
5. The ESP entry in fstab is optional.  Personally I prefer it in fstab
   because I hate the Windoge behavior (hiding the ESP from the user).
6. Update kernel and LFS version in example grub.cfg file (again).

It's sometimes problematic when trying to run grub-install in chroot.
